Shetland a Top 10 'Lonely Planet' location

Shetland has been listed as one of the top regions in the world to visit in 2011. Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2011 singles out the ‘last untamed corner of the UK’ for special praise, advising ‘adventurous travellers to step this way’.
Lonely Planet’s annual guide to the 2011’s hottest journeys, destinations and experiences has a distinctly Scottish theme to it. Glasgow is ranked as one of the world’s top comeback cities and Edinburgh is spotlighted as an artistic destination. Shetland Islands is listed as one of the top ten regions to visit next year.
